Retail potato price rises 69.1%
69.1% was the increase in the retail price of smooth-skinned potatoes in Paraná between August and September 2026, rising from BRL 4.15 to BRL 7.01 per kilogram.
Wheat crop quality deteriorates
182 thousand hectares of wheat remained to be harvested in Paraná: 12% of the area was in poor condition, 42% in average condition, and 46% in good condition.
Production reaches 78.7 million pounds
78.7 million pounds of shrimp were produced by Honduras from January through August 2026, compared with 76 million pounds during the same period of 2025.
Loss of 13 million pounds
13 million pounds of shrimp are estimated to have been lost because of drought and high salinity, reducing the annual production target from 159 million to 146 million pounds.
