Description

The objective of the program is to increase the production and consumption of food in urban and peri-urban agriculture to contribute to food security and surplus. In this framework, based on resolution O61, the project to promote urban and peri-urban agriculture with technological innovation and transfer of capacities in organizational development and nutritional education was created. This project seeks to strengthen food productivity and the implementation of a knowledge management model to strengthen production techniques, as well as incentives for consumption and income generation, and the aim is to increase the production of 8 species of vegetables. By 2024, 2,170 family greenhouses and 1,330 family gardens will be implemented. 30 school greenhouses and 20 school gardens with drip irrigation and home automation systems.
