Alrededor de 74 000 acres de tierras agrícolas, incluyendo 43 473 acres de cultivos comerciales y 30 684 acres de arroz, y más de 20 000 agricultores se vieron afectados por las inundaciones de 2021 en Guyana. La fuente también documenta pérdidas agrícolas significativas durante anteriores inundaciones y sequías, incluyendo daños estimados en US$52,6 millones al sector agrícola tras las inundaciones de 2005.
