Description
The Sustainable Cattle Ranching NAMA aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions generated in livestock production and increase carbon sinks in pasture agroecosystems through a regional-level environmental and productive management system. It promotes the conservation and/or restoration of natural ecosystems and encourages sustainable productive landscapes by harmonizing various public policy tools
Observations
The specific objectives of the project are: -To intensify in a sustainable manner the cattle raising production by implementing intensive and non-intensive silvopastoral systems, and efficient management of the productive system -Earmark areas in the cattle farms for conservation and/or restoration of natural ecosystems -Manure management and utilization of the methane gas generated in the sacrifice lots
