Update of Colombia’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) 2020–2030

Colombia’s updated Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) establishes the country’s climate commitments for the 2020–2030 period under the Paris Agreement. The document integrates greenhouse gas mitigation, climate change adaptation, and means of implementation, with the objective of advancing toward low-carbon and climate-resilient development. Its main commitments include reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 51% compared with the 2030 reference scenario, as well as targets related to reducing deforestation, protecting ecosystems and biodiversity, and strengthening sectoral and territorial adaptation. In agriculture and rural development, it includes actions to integrate climate change management into agricultural planning, strengthen the adaptive capacities of agricultural subsectors, and expand producers’ access to agroclimatic information.
