Bolivian Land Administration Program for Sustainable Rural Development

Fecha de inicio: 03/04/2024
Fecha de fin: 03/04/2030

Description

The Program aims to improve the well-being of family farmers and forest conservation in Bolivia, seeks to consolidate the legal security of rural property, increase sustainable land use, reduce deforestation and increase efficiency and inclusion in the rural cadastral system. The process of regularization and titling of rural lands in Bolivia, initiated in 1996 and based on the agrarian reform of 1952, seeks to secure property rights to encourage investment and productivity in the agricultural sector. The project includes three main components: completion of the regularization and titling of rural lands, implementation of the land administration system and institutional strengthening and consolidation of the national land administration system. The implementation of the land administration system will develop a platform that will include environmental variables to monitor sustainable land use, involving the purchase of equipment, specialized consultants and the development of a quantitative model of land values. The institutional strengthening and consolidation of the national land administration system seeks to modernize INRA's infrastructure and information systems, digitize files and update the regulatory and legal framework, including a gender and diversity policy to improve the participation of women and people with disabilities in INRA.
