Description

Through decree No. 4007, the National Program to Support Fruit Production is created with the objective of contributing to food security by increasing the production and competitiveness of the fruit sector in the areas of apple, peach, avocado and custard apple. Within the program, there is a project to strengthen Bolivian fruit markets with technical assistance and development, which seeks to increase fruit production by improving the capacities of fruit producers, in production, harvest, and post-harvest, strengthen fruit producer organizations to improve market access, marketing and packaging processes. By 2024, 1,860 fruit producers are expected to be strengthened in negotiation, packaging, seals, brand of origin and marketing, 4,039 producers with access to technical assistance services in establishment, agronomic management, harvest and/or post-harvest.
