Description

The national program to support the production and marketing of vegetables has the purpose of increasing the yields of onion, tomato, carrot, pea and bean crops, strengthening the processes of technological innovation, phytosanitary management, technical assistance, and production promotion. , postharvest and marketing. It is aimed at strengthening the production systems of the aforementioned crops to deseasonalize the production calendar and increase the volumes produced, thus reducing imports of strategic crops. In addition, it seeks to develop technical capacities in farmers and associations for the adoption and replication of innovative technologies that allow sustainable management of the crop. It also focuses on strengthening the dissemination, promotion and marketing channels to encourage the use and consumption of vegetables by differentiating production by region. By 2024, the transfer of 14 technological packages scheduled for implementation in 14 municipal autonomous governments (public-private), 378 packages to productive organizations (TPPs) and training and technical assistance to 4,600 producers in vegetable production is expected.
