Regional Strategy on Climate Change for the Cusco Region

The Regional Strategy on Climate Change for the Cusco Region establishes the regional public policy framework for guiding climate change adaptation and mitigation actions and strengthening the capacity of the population and territory to respond to climate-related impacts. The strategy prioritizes interventions related to water resources management, biodiversity, food security, agriculture, energy, health, education, risk management, and institutional strengthening, while coordinating the actions of public institutions, private actors, and civil society organizations. It also promotes capacity building, research, the recovery of local and traditional knowledge, intersectoral coordination, and the integration of adaptation and mitigation measures into regional and local planning and investment.
