Livestock production grows 1.5% in Peru

1.5% was the growth in Peru's livestock subsector in August 2026, driven by increases in chicken production (1.2% in Lima, Arequipa and La Libertad), fattening turkeys (32.9% in Lima), cattle (1.5% mainly in Cajamarca, Pasco and Cusco), and pigs (2.5% in Ica, La Libertad and Lambayeque).
