Canadian oat production falls 22.7% in 2026

Canada's oat production will fall 22.7% year over year in 2026, to 3.0 million tonnes - the steepest percentage decline among the country's major field crops - driven by both lower harvested area and lower yields, according to Statistics Canada's satellite-based estimates released September 16, 2026.
