Canadian wheat falls 10.9% in 2026

Canada's total wheat production will fall 10.9% year over year in 2026, to 36.1 million tonnes, driven by a smaller harvested area (-5.6%, to 24.8 million acres) and lower yields (-5.6%, to 53.6 bushels per acre), according to Statistics Canada's satellite-based estimates released September 16, 2026.
