During this period, Region 6 registered the largest increase (1,642 hectares), while Region 1 experienced a net loss of 805 hectares. Under the Mangrove Action Plan 2022–2032, NAREI aims to restore more than 2 kilometres of mangroves, strengthen the resilience of coastal communities, benefit over 1,000 residents and improve 900 hectares of farmland.
