Promotion of Drinking Water, Sanitation, Irrigation and Drainage Management - FOGAPRYD

Public investment project that aims to strengthen drinking water and sanitation services to improve access to safe water, while improving irrigation and drainage management to support agricultural production under an ecological transition and sustainable water resources management approach. The Initiative comprises four components: strengthening national and decentralized public institutions through planning, regulatory and technical instruments; building the capacities of public and community service providers and water users through the National Water School; implementing, rehabilitating, expanding and improving drinking water, sanitation, irrigation and drainage infrastructure; and conducting studies and developing public policy proposals to reduce pollution in rivers and water sources.
