GU-T1331 : Support for Agroforestry Sector Activities in Guatemala's Nationally Determined Contribution

The general objective of the operation is to promote resilience to climate change by supporting Guatemala's commitments under its Nationally Determined Contribution. The specific objectives are: (i) Provide technical assistance to the Government of Guatemala and local organizations to access climate finance to enable the implementation of sustainable agricultural activities (emissions reduction monitoring and reporting activities); (ii) Finance initiatives of local private sector organizations that enable small farmers to access credit and inclusive financial services to improve productivity and access fair and competitive markets; and (iii) Align the IDB's operational agenda in Guatemala with the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC), to facilitate the application of climate considerations in agroforestry sector operations.
