NAMA Chile: Implementation of a national forestry and climate change strategy, including the development and implementation of a platform for the generation and commercialization of forest carbon credits.

The objective of NAMA is to advance in the implementation of the Platform for the Generation and Commercialization of Forest Carbon Credits (PBCCh) of the country. This NAMA includes the development of pilot sites that will be established in different types of forests and land suitable for afforestation. These pilot units will be the first to generate units to negotiate under the PBCCh. These pilots will include improvements in land titling processes, the identification and implementation of more appropriate forest management techniques, the generation of subnational reference levels and MRV systems, among other issues related to forest carbon projects.
