Description
The project seeks to take advantage of the existing tools, experience, knowledge and models of digital financial services, electronic commerce and digital technology for the benefit of rural populations in poverty in Bolivia, Haiti, Honduras, Guatemala and Peru, allowing 10,500 farmers to overcome the Obstacles to market access and financing related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Observations
Thanks to this US$2.4 million project (US$2.3 million from IFAD and a US$100,000 contribution from Agriterra), 86 producer organizations will be able to market their products and 132 rural savings cooperatives will be able to offer their financial service
