Start Date: 11/06/2003
End Date: 01/01/5000

Description

The National Councils for Agricultural, Fishing, Forestry, and Aquaculture Productive Chains are public policy strategies of the Colombian government to strengthen the country's productive structure. In this context, the creation of Productive Chain Organizations is regulated, each of which has a National Productive Chain Council and one or more Regional Chain Committees. They are permanent spaces for discussion, exchange, and proposals, and are made up of representatives of producers, marketers, distributors, the respective agricultural, fishing, or forestry product industry, and the government. They also serve as advisory bodies to the national government on policy matters for the sustainability and competitiveness of the corresponding subsector.
