Sustainable Colombian Livestock Project - Additional Financing Critical Deforestation Zone Meta

The project seeks to promote the adoption of environmentally friendly livestock production systems to improve natural resource management, increase environmental services and raise productivity on participating farms in Meta, Colombia. This initiative received additional funding from the Government of the United Kingdom to expand beneficiaries and timeframe in areas of active deforestation. The project focuses on small and medium-sized producers to reduce poverty, including technical assistance, payments for environmental services and incentives for silvopastoral systems. Implementation includes a strong social and environmental component with continuous monitoring of impacts.
