National Development Plan 2010-2014 “Prosperity for All” Colombia

This National Development Plan 2010-2014 establishes the central objective of consolidating security with the goal of achieving peace, making a leap in social progress, and achieving regional economic dynamism that allows for sustainable development and sustained growth. It focuses on generating more formal employment, less poverty and greater prosperity for the entire population through three fundamental pillars: sustained growth based on a more competitive, productive and innovative economy; a strategy of equal opportunities; and the consolidation of peace throughout the territory. The plan integrates specific objectives and strategies to achieve regional convergence and development, recognizing and taking advantage of the different economic, social, institutional and environmental capacities of each region of the country.
