Fecha de inicio: 12/04/2022
Fecha de fin: 19/06/2024

Description

The project strengthened the conservation of genetic resources, the revitalization of value chains, the rehabilitation of watersheds, and efficient water management. Its achievements include the characterization and conservation of more than 71,000 species accessions, the recovery of native breeds of goats and pigs, and the conservation of honeybees and meliponas. Priority was also given to the regularization of aquaculture and food species, with advances in genetic traceability. In addition, the transition to more resilient production systems in Michoacán's watersheds was promoted, benefiting more than 6,500 irrigation users on almost 13,000 hectares. Strengthening the amaranth value chain was another pillar of the project, highlighting the characterization of actors and varieties, the development of innovative products, and the promotion of consumption. Agroecological innovation and sustainability strategies were designed for small producers, and digital tools were created to monitor the use of water and fertilizers.
