Capacity building of organized agricultural producers with an emphasis on Family Farming to undertake initiatives for formal insertion in markets in the Andean Region

This project aims to develop the associative and commercial capacities of agricultural producers of Family Farming to facilitate their access to internal and external markets. The project seeks to strengthen their organizational, administrative and resource management capacities, promoting strategies that allow their formal insertion in the markets of the Andean Region. As a result, a repository of experiences and lessons learned will be created on the linkage of organized agricultural producers with these markets. Among the actions is the realization of a detailed diagnosis of the capacities of small and medium-sized farmers, identifying lessons learned and successful experiences, as well as the main formal markets for agricultural products. The barriers they face to enter these markets will be analyzed, providing information on opportunities and challenges. In addition, a comprehensive strategy for formal insertion in formal markets will be developed, defining key components such as training, associativity, financing, access to inputs, logistics, technology and markets. Alliances will be established with key actors, including farmers' organizations, cooperatives and government agencies. During the preparatory phase, the Family Farming value chains to be promoted will be defined, optimising resources for the diagnosis.
