Law 229-2023 by which the National Development Plan of Colombia 2022-2026 "COLOMBIA WORLD POWER OF LIFE" is issued

The National Development Plan 2022-2026 seeks to establish the foundations for the country to become a leader in the protection of life through a new social contract that overcomes historical injustices and exclusions. This plan focuses on environmental preservation, productive transformation based on knowledge and social equity. The plan is organized around five key transformations: territorial planning around water, human security and social justice, human right to food, productive transformation, internationalization and climate action, and regional convergence. In addition, the plan calls on the international community to collaborate in the protection of crucial natural resources such as the Amazon and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. It also emphasizes the need for a public-private and public-popular alliance to achieve development objectives, recognizing that the size of the Colombian State is small and that public investment must increase.
