Description

The program seeks to increase the production and productivity of the livestock sector, considering the diversity of the eco-regions and improving production processes for the domestic market and export of beef; The livestock development project for small producers aims to improve the productive and economic capacities of small livestock producers by providing seeds, introducing heifers and bulls of high genetic quality, and strengthening semi-intensive or confinement systems through bull fattening in three production cycles per year. By 2024, the transfer of 10,100 improved breed heifers, 470 breeding bulls and 8,350 fattening bulls is expected to be transferred to the departments of Beni, Chuquisaca, Cochabamba, La Paz, Pando, Santa Cruz and Tarija.
