Digital Transformation to Fight Deforestation Colombia

Observations

The main objective of the project is to strengthen the Colombian Environmental Information System (SIAC). The purpose is to improve the effectiveness and timeliness in the response to environmental problems, eliminating obstacles that prevent the free flow of information within the National Environmental System and between entities from other sectors. This initiative seeks to support the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development in the formulation of an information integration and exchange strategy that consolidates the management of data necessary to effectively address environmental challenges. The project is made up of several specific components. The first is the conceptualization, design, and implementation of an interoperability platform that will standardize and manage information flows, ensuring the quality and traceability of data to combat deforestation and environmental crimes. Another component focuses on the identification and development of innovation and knowledge management models to facilitate access and management of environmental data. In addition, a new information management model will be updated and generated that will follow conservation agreements and sustainable green businesses.
