INNOVATECH-SISTAGRO Project (Trifinio Plan)

The INNOVATECH-SISTAGRO Project, technological innovation and scientific research for sustainable and competitive horticulture in the Trifinio region, focuses on promoting sustainable rural development and social inclusion in the Trifinio Region, which covers parts of El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. With a budget of 950,000 euros and an execution period from 2023 to 2025, the project seeks to improve food security in the context of climate change. Its specific objectives include strengthening competitiveness through agricultural modernization, knowledge transfer and training aimed especially at youth and women. In addition, it aims to increase the productivity and quality of agricultural products through innovations and a focus on the supply chain that includes the transformation and commercialization of products.
