Description

The project aims to improve the efficiency and profitability of dual-purpose milk production systems in the regions of Eastern Panama and Darien, thus contributing to food security, increased income for producers, environmental preservation, and improved quality of life for local communities. Through the application of innovative technologies in areas such as nutrition, reproductive management, disease control, and water management, the goal is to increase milk and meat production per hectare, reduce the age at first calving of female cattle, improve disease management, and ensure greater profitability for producers. Direct beneficiaries include project collaborating producers, while indirect beneficiaries encompass all milk producers in the mentioned regions, as well as the local agribusiness sector, extensionists, students, and Panamanian society at large.
