Description

The Strategy for Agricultural Risk Management and Adaptation to Climate Change is a strategic plan that integrates conventional science with ancestral knowledge and good agricultural practices to increase the resilience of the agricultural sector in the face of adverse climate events. It is proposed to implement synergistic programs and projects for risk management and adaptation to climate change, establish agroclimatic alert systems, promote the participation of various actors and strengthen capacities. In addition, measures such as intercropping and rotational grazing are suggested to build resilient agriculture, with a focus on the most vulnerable rural areas. The strategy, developed in a participatory and intersectoral manner, seeks to adopt inclusive measures and support ancestral knowledge, while proposing the creation of early warning systems and adaptation and mitigation mechanisms.
