National Agricultural Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation Strategy for Resilient Agriculture 2017–2020 (EN-GRAyACC)

Bolivia's national strategy aimed at increasing the resilience of the agricultural sector to adverse climatic and meteorological events through preventive planning, integrated risk management and climate change adaptation. The framework prioritizes producers and family farming and includes agricultural early-warning systems, agroclimatic and georeferenced information, damage and loss assessment, insurance and contingency planning, training, institutional coordination, and measures to protect and restore agricultural production and rural livelihoods. It also seeks to strengthen food security and sovereignty, reduce vulnerability and promote sustainable production systems and ecosystem resilience.
