Description

The Strategic Plan for Honduras (2023-2027) of the World Food Programme (WFP) establishes a comprehensive strategy to address food insecurity, malnutrition, and poverty in Honduras, focusing on developing more resilient and diverse food systems and livelihoods in both rural and urban areas. The plan aims to contribute to the creation of more prosperous and healthy communities by strengthening national social protection systems and emergency preparedness and response. With a total budget of $634,635,721, this strategic plan emphasizes capacity strengthening, promotion of behavioral changes to improve diets, promotion of gender equality and reduction of gender-based violence, covering the entire national territory with greater attention to urban and peri-urban areas.
