Law No. 31805 Amending the Family Farming Promotion and Development Law and the Law on Public Procurement of Food from Family Farming

Law No. 31805 amends Law No. 30355 on the Promotion and Development of Family Farming and Law No. 31071 on Public Procurement of Food from Family Farming. It updates the classification of family farming and strengthens measures related to land formalization and titling, research and technology transfer, irrigation infrastructure, financing, producer organization, market access, agricultural insurance, digitalization and capacity building. It also requires covered public entities to source at least 30 percent of their annual food requirements from family farming.
