Description
The National Strategy for Agricultural Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation for Resilient Agriculture 2017–2020 establishes Bolivia’s strategic guidelines for increasing the resilience of the agricultural sector to adverse climatic and meteorological events. It seeks to reduce disaster risk through preventive planning, integrated risk management and climate change adaptation. The Strategy combines scientific knowledge with ancestral knowledge, promotes agroclimatic information and early-warning systems, strengthens institutional and productive capacities, supports research and adaptation technologies, and coordinates programs and projects aimed at reducing vulnerability, protecting rural livelihoods and contributing to food sovereignty and food security.
