Supreme Decree No. 2738 – Implementation of the Bolivian Social Seal

Supreme Decree No. 2738 implements the Bolivian Social Seal as a certification mechanism for primary and processed products originating from sustainable family farming, as well as industrialized products incorporating raw materials and inputs from sustainable family farming. The regulation provides for interinstitutional coordination among rural development, production and trade authorities, assigns PROMUEVE BOLIVIA responsibility for issuing certificates authorizing use of the seal, establishes control and promotion measures, and provides for public dissemination of its benefits. The instrument seeks to promote sustainable family farming, differentiate its products and strengthen their market positioning.
