Peru: National Family Farming Plan 2019–2021 (PLANAF) – Supreme Decree No. 007-2019-MINAGRI

National plan approved through Supreme Decree No. 007-2019-MINAGRI to implement the objectives, guidelines and strategic actions of Peru's National Family Farming Strategy 2015–2021 and coordinate multisectoral public interventions targeting family farmers. Its general objective is to sustainably improve the incomes of family-farming households through measures related to access to productive assets, land regularization and titling, agricultural water and irrigation, technical assistance, innovation and technology transfer, capacity building, financing, producer organization, market integration, sustainable natural-resource management and the reduction of gender gaps. The Plan establishes lines of action, responsible institutions, strategic partners, implementation periods and financing provisions, while implementation and monitoring are assigned to the entities participating in the Multisectoral Commission for the Promotion and Development of Family Farming. Although originally designed for the 2019–2021 period, Law No. 31310 subsequently established that PLANAF would remain in force and continue producing effects until approval of the Multisectoral Strategic Plan implementing the new National Family Farming Policy.
