El Niño reduces Chilean economic growth

-0.5 percentage points is the estimated reduction in Chile's GDP growth associated with El Niño, with large declines in industry and fisheries. Inflation increases by around 0.1 percentage points between 4 and 12 months after the event, with greater sensitivity in fruit and vegetables.
