The Coastal Adaptation and Resilience (CARes) Project aims to reduce flood risk in Guyana's most vulnerable coastal regions, primarily Regions 3, 4, 5 and 6. The project upgrades drainage infrastructure, strengthens the National Drainage and Irrigation Authority's technical capacity, promotes climate-smart planning, and supports sustainable agriculture, food security and urban development in line with the Low Carbon Development Strategy (LCDS) 2030.
