Motivation
In this room for dialogue on science, technology and innovation we focus on the agricultural and agri-food sector. The main purpose is to establish a space for the exchange of ideas and knowledge to promote the development of innovative scientific and technological solutions that boost productivity, sustainability and resilience in this sector. We hope to address various thematic areas, such as the application of digital technologies in agriculture, resilience and climate change mitigation, genetic improvement of crops and livestock breeds, efficient management of natural resources, implementation of sustainable agricultural practices and the adoption of intelligent production systems. The aim is to identify opportunities for innovation that can improve the efficiency and profitability of agricultural activities. It also addresses aspects related to technology transfer and collaboration among the different actors in the sector, such as farmers, scientists, companies and government entities. The result of these discussions and collaborations is the promotion of technological and scientific solutions adapted to the specific needs and challenges of the agricultural and agri-food sector. It also promotes the dissemination of knowledge and best practices, encouraging the adoption of innovations at all stages of the agrifood chain. This dialogue room is presented as a key space for strengthening science, technology and innovation in the agricultural and agrifood sector, with the aim of contributing to sustainable development, food security and the well-being of rural communities.
