Description

The Central Bank of Costa Rica forecasts a strong negative effect of El Niño on pineapple and coffee production due to reduced rainfall and higher temperatures. It also anticipates lower livestock productivity, higher costs, inflationary risks and a downward revision of agricultural growth for 2026 and 2027.
