This document presents a systematization of 94 ecological and landscape restoration experiences carried out across several ecoregions of Peru over the past 50 years. The report analyzes the causes of degradation, the strategies applied, the species used, monitoring systems, ecological and socioeconomic results, as well as the identified success factors and risks. Additionally, it synthesizes lessons learned and formulates key recommendations for the planning, implementation and evaluation of future restoration initiatives, within the framework of national and international commitments such as the 20x20 Initiative, the Bonn Challenge, and Peru’s forest regulations. The document constitutes a fundamental technical input for the design of the National Program for the Restoration of Ecosystems and Degraded Lands (PRO-REST).
