Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship in Latin America and the Caribbean

Report prepared by the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) and the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), which analyzes youth employment and entrepreneurship in the rural areas of Latin America and the Caribbean. The document examines the structural gaps affecting young people engaged in or aspiring to agricultural activities, including rural unemployment, high levels of informality in farm work, unequal access to productive opportunities, gender disparities, and the impact of automation on the agricultural sector. It also systematizes youth employment policies in eleven countries of the region and offers recommendations to strengthen rural labor insertion and promote youth agricultural entrepreneurship.
