Saint Lucia´s Ministry of Agriculture continues Fusarium Wilt sensitization drive

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Rural Development of Saint Lucia continues awareness efforts on Fusarium Wilt Tropical Race 4 (TR4), a fungus that affects plantains, bananas and makambu. With the aim of protecting livelihoods and ensuring food security, the Ministry has adopted a proactive approach that emphasizes prevention and the importance of early detection to contain the spread of this pathogen.
