Goat Chain Development Program in Argentina

Start Date: 10/12/2016
End Date: 31/12/2024

Description

The program aims to contribute to improving the incomes of goat raising families by integrating them into the goat value chain to achieve favorable and sustainable conditions. This initiative, funded by the IFAD, will assist small goat producers in increasing, enhancing, and marketing their production of meat, dairy products, and wool, especially mohair and cashmere varieties. In this regard, many program activities are designed to strengthen goat producer organizations by supporting the preparation and execution of participatory business plans, with a special focus on training in financial asset management. The main challenge in achieving these objectives is the underdeveloped goat product markets in Argentina.
