Agricultural producers informed about soil suitability program

Description

It is part of the Budget Program on Reduction of Soil Degradation in Peru. This product is accomplished through the following activities: Generation of soil survey information, agroecological zoning and measurement of soil deterioration; Training for farmers on the importance of using agroclimatic information and soil suitability; Dissemination of information campaigns to farmers on soil suitability; Crop research according to soil suitability. These activities were carried out since 2013, in unison and complementary between MIDAGRI: Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, INIA: National Institute of Agrarian Innovation, SENAMHI: National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology and the Geophysical Institute of Peru.
