National Programme of Rural Economic Transformation for Living Well - Rural Adelante

Fecha de inicio: 12/12/2015
Fecha de fin: 31/12/2024

Description

The Rural Adelante program is aimed at economically transforming rural areas to improve the lives of their inhabitants through a series of integrated and sustainable strategies. The main objective of the project is to sustainably increase the income of rural families in poverty, facilitating their adaptation to climate change in the departments of San Miguel, Usulután, La Unión and Morazán. This approach is deployed through three key components: strengthening capacities for sustainable production and adaptation to climate change, development of competitive, sustainable and inclusive value chains, and strengthening the public policy framework for rural development. The project has implemented activities such as strengthening institutions such as CENTA and ENA to improve the transfer of climate change adaptation technologies and has formulated business plans to link producers with formal markets. In addition, it has integrated digital technologies through the development and adaptation of modules of the Computer Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation System (SIPLASE) to automate and improve data registration, which facilitates the monitoring and evaluation of program activities.
