Sustainable management of irrigation and fertilization in quinoa

This project proposes to advance in this direction by generating knowledge under field conditions and for a wide geographic region, which reaches 25% of the total crop area in South America, and its inclusion in three central computer tools to guide the management of this crop. These tools are: 1) the Cronos-Quinoa Model, to establish the best combinations of genotypes and sowing dates in each growing environment, 2) the Aquacrop-Quinoa Model, to establish responses to water availability and limited yields by water and 3) a Fertilization Calculator to estimate nitrogen requirements in each condition of water availability.
