Ecuador Sustainable Livestock Strengthening Project (PROFOSPE)

Public investment project to promote the sustainability of Ecuador's livestock sector by strengthening productive capacities, genetic improvement, animal health and livestock technification, with a focus on small and medium-sized producers and rural women. It prioritizes cattle, sheep, pigs and guinea pigs and is organized into five components: animal nutrition with a climate-smart approach (improved pastures and regenerative livestock farming), preventive animal health, reproductive technologies, partial subsidies for livestock technology tools, and monitoring and evaluation.
