Description

The project aims to help increase the proportion of agricultural foods and animal feed that meet food safety standards in Peru through the effective delivery of SENASA’s food safety surveillance and control services. It comprises four components: (1) risk assessment; (2) strengthening risk management; (3) risk communication; and (4) an official voluntary certification scheme for Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP)..

Observations

The project duration has been extended to five years, and its budget has been increased. Loan Agreement No. 4457/OC-PE, dated October 1, 2018, with the IDB.
