Description
The objective of this project is to enhance the institutional capacity of Colombia and Ecuador to monitor cadmium (Cd) concentrations in cocoa and cocoa products, in order to comply with the provisions of European Union (EU) Regulation (EC) No. 1881/2006 and adhere to the Codex maximum levels for natural contaminants in chocolate. This will be achieved through a regional approach.
