Poverty, Reforestation, Energy and Climate Change Project (PROEZA) in Paraguay

The Poverty, Reforestation, Energy and Climatic Change Project (PROEZA) is one of Paraguay's main official efforts to address commitments agreed within the framework of the Climate Conference (COP21). Its implementation marks a historic milestone among the country's green initiatives, bringing numerous positive effects on the environment. I was presented at the Fondo Verde del Clima (FVC) by the Secretariat Técnica de Planificación del Desarrollo Económico y Social (STP), through the Organization of the United Nations for Food and Agriculture (FAO), as an accredited entity. It was approved in 2018, incorporated into the country's national legal framework through Law No. 6,466/19 and implemented from 2020 onwards.
