Chile's 2026 Budget Law allocates CLP 1,714,177,000 to the Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Program of the Undersecretariat of the Environment. Within this amount, CLP 716,568,000 is specifically allocated to Climate Change and the Nationally Determined Contribution. Budget provisions allow resources to finance implementation of national sectoral adaptation and mitigation plans and Regional Climate Change Action Plans. Resources may also finance the design and implementation of conservation, restoration and management projects for urban and rural ecosystems using Nature-based Solutions, particularly in urban wetlands, protected areas and ecological corridors. The initiative is explicitly linked to Law No. 21,455, Chile's Framework Law on Climate Change. The USD conversion uses the Central Bank of Chile exchange rate for January 2, 2026, equivalent to CLP 907.13 per US dollar. The resulting conversion is CLP 1,714,177,000 / 907.13 = USD 1,889,670.72.
