Chile's Climate Change Framework Law

Law No. 21,455: The Law establishes climate governance, powers and obligations of Chilean State agencies for climate action, and establishes the goal of carbon neutrality and resilience by 2050. It recognizes the principles of non-regression and progressiveness and It incorporates the principles of an ecosystem approach, equity and climate justice, territoriality, transparency and citizen participation in its application. Likewise, it contemplates a national system of access to climate information and citizen participation.
